BengalsBrowns010922Week 18 – The final game of the season, at home.  Bengals vs Browns. The first time for a Week 18 regular season game. But this game will be the battle of the backup Quarterbacks. The Browns are out of playoff contention. Browns QB Baker Mayfield will have immediate surgery to address his shoulder injury, meaning he is also out this week.  Backup, Case Keenum, is another quarterback who’s proven to be a capable backup in the NFL.  Of these two backup quarterbacks, Keenum boasts more upside at the moment. Cleveland is expected to play most of their starters and are playing for pride in front of their home crowd.

Although Cincinnati has a chance at the No. 1 seed along with a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, they’re benching QB Joe Burrow this weekend to rest him up for the playoff run. QB Brandon Allen has proven to be a decent backup throughout his NFL career, but he’s been less than spectacular. Additionally Cincinnati will be resting a lot of their starters for this game.
